is coming and we will start
talking about it this week. Students and music teachers will decide what to do
and how to put in scene framed in
Disney movies themes.
Fifth
Graders will:
1. Musical notation: write F,
E, D, C musical notes on the
staff.
2. Practice the song “It´s
Raining” to obtain the green belt of the
Recorder Karate Method.
All 5th grade students are participating in a fun unit of "Recorder Karate." We will be learning to read music and play melodies on the recorder. Students may earn 9 colors of "Recorder Belts" for performing songs of increasing difficulty.
We will be working on the songs in class, and students will have some time to test in class.
Students have been given the opportunity to check out a recorder for them to use at home if they don´t have one.
Also...and making it even more fun, you can go to the "Recorder Dojo" website and hear the actual accompaniments of the songs. Each song has two tempos--fast and slow--and students need to be able to play both to earn each belt.
