Week of Sept. 10 -14


This will be a short week due to our Independence Day Celebration.


Fifth Graders will:

1. Practice the recorder song “Gently Sleep” to obtain the Yellow Belt of the method Recorder Karate.

2. Practice the song “El Pitero” to be sung at the Independence Day Celebration.  

Sixth Graders will:

1. Start their instrumental performance with the recorder. Sounds B, A, G.
2. Rehearse the song “El Bananero” to be sung at the Independence Day Celebration.

 Seventh Graders will:

1. Continue working with the guitar. Major chords .
 2. Rehearse the song “El Bananero” to be sung at the Independence Day Celebration.

Eighth Graders will:

1. Continue working with the keyboard. Diatonic scales.
2. Rehearse the song “El Bananero” to be sung at the Independence Day Celebration.

Ninth Graders will:

1. Work on their instrument as part of a musical group.
2. Rehearse the song “El Bananero” to be sung at the Independence Day Celebration.

Ms. Erika Corletto is organizing a Nutrition Talk for our Discovery School parents, sponsored by Pediasure. 
This talk will be offered by Eda Flefil, a nutritionist that will 
be talking about the benefits of  a well balanced diet.
