STUDENT FIELDTRIP TO THE OPERA -
As part of the Music and Spanish curriculum, Students from grades 5 – 12 will attend an Opera presentation. This year the Honduran Musical Foundation will present LA TRAVIATA by Verdi, an Opera based on La Dama de las Camelias (a novel by Alejandro Dumas). This is a good opportunity for our students to experience one of the most complete and enriching musical classical genres. Ms. Pamela Cruz and Ms. Norma López (our Music teachers), will perform in this Opera.
Date: March 5, 2013
Place: Manuel Bonilla Theatre
Cost: L. 340 (Includes opera ticket and bus)
Dress Code: Formal pants or skirt, formal blouse or shirt and formal shoes. Please do not wear tennis shoes, shorts or jeans.
On that day we will leave the school campus at 8:15 a.m., and will come back
at 12:30 p.m. Homeroom teachers need to accompany their students to help supervise them during this activity.
5th Grade
We are coming back to the instrumental performance with the recorder. Students now will play their recorders in duets.
9th Grade
9B will finish their duet presentations on Monday March 4, 2013.
Both sections will start a unit on Music and Advertisement.
6th, 7th, 8th Grades
They will be gone in their field trips.
